Philippe Cardou received his degree in mechanical engineering from Laval University, Quebec City, PQ, Canada, in 2003, and his Ph.D. degree in mechanical engineering from McGill University in 2008. Since September 2007, he has been with the Department of Mechanical Engineering, Laval University, where he is a Professor and a member of the Robotics Laboratory. His research interests are related to robotics and mechanisms, and in particular, cable-driven parallel robots and grasping.
