The ASME Journal of Mechanisms and Robotics invites papers for a Special Issue drawing on papers from the 46th Mechanisms and Robotics Conference (MR), held as part of the 2022 International Design and Engineering Technical Conferences & Computers and Information in Engineering Conference (IDETC/CIE 2022). Sponsored by the Mechanisms and Robotics Technical Committee of the ASME Design Engineering Division, this annual gathering will take place in St. Louis, Missouri, August 14-17, 2022.
The 46th ASME Mechanisms and Robotics Conference provides the exchange of technical and scientific information on the theory and application of mechanical systems, mechanisms, and robotics.
Topic Areas
Topics span areas central to design and analysis of mechanical, mechatronic, and robotic systems, including and are particularly encouraged from the areas in:
• Kinematics
• Dynamics
• Novel mechanisms and robots
• Software systems
• Educational practices
• Soft-, flexible- and human-safe robots
• Reconfigurable mechanisms and robots
• Origami-based systems
• Rehabilitation and medical robots
• Exoskeleton/prosthesis design
• Development and mechanism-based metamaterials
